The Cross Works
When we are at our weakest God shows His strength through relationships with others.
My husband was in treatment for cancer - we were feeling very weak indeed.
Apostle Bret Wade contacted me and said that in prayer he thought he should ask me if I would take on running the Apostles Today Ministry.
At first I thought it would be simply impossible to do what seemed such a mammoth task as most of the people were based in the USA and I was based at that time on the edge of the desert in Australia. I prayed and sought the Lord and He said "ask for volunteers and raise up a team, out of which I will show you those who run with My heart."
As Kenn began the IT work needed to take the ministry where we were hearing God wanted it to go, I did just that. I asked for volunteers for the different tasks needed.
Among those who volunteered was Sheryl. I hardly knew Sheryl but felt the Lord was saying I could trust her. High recommendation indeed. I asked Bret about each person and he gave me a good report about Sheryl.
Finally after prayer and consideration I asked Sheryl to come on board as my administrative assistant. Now I think of her as my right hand woman, and God's strength when I need her to be that. I have found her to be trustworthy, and also that she is willing to speak up and give relative information about issues when necessary. I feel like she has my back, which has been very exposed but for the grace of God. I have found that in our weakeness, God has shown His strength and in one of those areas His strength has been Sheryl.
In thinking about her wonderful husband Jerry all I can say is this. When running in the Corporate world many years ago, it became evident what sort of man you were dealing with, by how he cared for and raised up his wife. If a man had a great, well presented wife and well behaved children, it was generally considered that he had the character to be a good executive. The Bible says that if one desires leadership to look at their family and how well they run their home.
For a woman to be able to be all that Sheryl is and to be able to produce what she produces, she must have a man who is humble enough to empower her while being such a great leader in their family that Sheryl is able to navigate life doing her very best. So when I say "Sheryl's wonderful husand Jerry", I really mean it.
I have no hesitation in recommending this couple.
